Solari Dator 5
The Dator 5, produced in the 1960s and '70s by Solari of Udine, Italy, is an electromechanical flip clock with a perpetual calendar, which compensates for month lengths and even leap years.

I'd wanted one of these for years, but they are rare. Finally I snagged one from Muret, France that needed some love. It had not run for at least a decade, had sat in water and some steel parts had begun to rust. This particular one is also a slave clock, belonging to a public clock system driven by a master clock in its past life. It cannot keep time on its own, so it needed a new modern brain to drive it.

Here's the month-long restoration process.
