Resplendent Quetzal

Just look how cute this bird is! It is one of the iconic birds of Central America, and somewhat hard to find in most areas. However, in San Gerardo de Dota (Costa Rica), we saw a LOT of them, even right outside our hotel room. The male gets an incredible long tail during mating season... a photo of one of those is coming soon.
