Angle Tarn, Hanging Knotts, The Lake District

After the coffee the next chapter begins....... The story here only slowly builds though..... The temptation of the tarn I couldn't resist.... only 100 meters further down the track I was fully distracted by the face of Hanging Knotts and the glassy reflections of Angle Tarn....

Times like these are precious, when the elements all seem to combine in the favour of the man that stands before.......

Angle Tarn..... A misleading pit of water, sitting here, a picturesque corrie..... a narrow ridge falling from the above fells, constricted between the face of Hanging Knotts and the steep Rossett Gill..... small trout occupy these prestine waters as well.

So distraction over, time to cover some ground, a steeply graded slope to Esk hause..... Can the day, weather keep as it is, this clarity is fabulous :)
