Legacy Day-2012
More than 600 students participated in Legacy Day at Fort Hill on November 16, marking the 126th anniversary of Thomas Green Clemson’s signing of his will that provided for the establishment of what is today Clemson University.

The students toured the historic home; received free T-shirts and other souvenirs; viewed Mr. Clemson’s will; had photos taken with actors portraying Mr. Clemson and his wife, Anna; enjoyed refreshments; and were entertained by a string quartet and the Clemson University Gospel Choir.

The event concluded with the dedication of the 10th and 11th Fort Hill Legacy Society Leaves, bronze leaf-shaped markers placed on the grounds of Fort Hill to honor donors whose bequests result in gifts of $1 million or more for the university.
