High Force waterfall in Teesdale really is an amazing site, it is only when you're stood looking into it that you get the real sense of power and energy from this waterfall. This wide angle composition gives the image a better sense of scale than the compressed square crop. I realise that the colours are fairly muted, but time contraints meant I couldn't wait for sunset. I have tried to use subtle tones in order to keep the focus on the raw power and motion of the river.
PS It was absolutely baltic on the day I shot this, and welly's don't give very good insulation!!
