Such good depth in this image - not just from the tidal marks in the foreground, but the clouds too, which really pop!

Some lovely colour and drama in the sky - reminds me of an oil painting.

I saw this shot earlier today on my phone, but wanted to wait until I'd seen it on my laptop before commenting.

I just wish I could fave this more than once! It's an incredibly atmospheric shot. The sky is amazing, and the touch of orange is wonderful and then that's also reflected in the sand! Brilliant!
Oh...and not forgetting all that lovely foreground detail too with all those little pebbles and rocks and the patterns left in the sand.
Did I mention I think this is brilliant!?

I think you might have mentioned it once, but I think you got away with it :-) Thank you, I'm very touched. When I went out yesterday I wasn't particularly hopeful as the weather was really unpredictable - well no sunset but the sky and sea were so dynamic. I saw the brief colour in the sky and noticed the reflection and timed the shot as the tide receded - then everything moved on. When I processed this shot it really reminded me of a 19th century oil painting (Turner??!) and Anna (cornishwhippet) mentioned that in her comment. I'm really proud of this particular picture - the right place at the right time, just what photography is all about and why we all love it so much!
