Fly-tipping in Olympic city - London

    Newer Older

The inaptly named Meadow View Road in Croydon, Surrey boarders a rugby pitch with trees planted every 3 metres or so along the perimeter, unfortunately, this creates the perfect environment for fly-tippers.
The day I went passed, every single space between the trees had been used by the mentally challenged, items dumped ranged from sofas to domestic rubbish in shopping bags.
I couldn't see any hint of an effort to stop the fly-tipping, not even one of those lame Croydon Council 'fly-tippers will be prosecuted' signs (which are totally meaningless without real action anyway).
