The Apple Cube
Reminds me of the Borg Cube. Resistance is futile...
This is a perfect demonstration of the corrective power of DxO Optics Pro. The Tokina 12-24 zoom is many good things, but distortion free certainly isn't one of them. With DxO all the lens distortion is gone and then I added T/S correction to get parallel verticals and finally used the "square" correction to get that cube bang on.
I debated with myself for quite a while whether the cutout colour should be inside the cube or not. Ethically I'd prefer it the other way around, but this way is photographically stronger. I am pleased with this one. I had time to think about it and it's turned out close to how I visualized it, despite the very dull weather. That's rain on top of the cube.
