NS 3737 - 218 - ICE, Utrecht, August 6, 1989
In 1989 Netherlands Railways celebrated it's 150th anniversary. Part of the celebration was an exhibition of historic and new railway equipment at the NS headquarters in Utrecht. On August 6, at the end of the exhibition, NS had a special surprise. Steam engine 3737 (1913) brought the German ICE train home to Arnhem. From Arnhem it went to Emmerich pulled by the red 218 diesel.
