Ready for Takeoff

Ready for Takeoff

This brings back memories of a crash landing at Navy Pier. I took this last weekend at the University of Chicago after the rest of the gang headed back home. I stayed to shoot some of buildings with that orange glow in the sky. This was my last night with the 17mm Tilt Shift and I needed to make the most of it. For this image, I shot three landscape shots. One shifted to the left, one centered, and one shifted to the right. I stitched them in CS5. The 17mm TS-E is great for these shots. I was standing about 8 feet in front of the building for this. Look for my review of the Canon 17mm TS-E in the next couple of days.

Out of Chicago Photo Walk #3

This morning I announced our third photo walk. It will be at the Museum Campus the evening of May 5th. We will be shooting around Adler Planetarium and then setting up to shoot the supermoon of 2012. If you're interested in joining us, get more information, here.
