28/52 - 2012 - Safestix!
I postponed my personal challenge again. I had both my wisdom teeth extracted on the right side last Friday, and I really didn't feel for having my picture taken. Not that you can see anything from the teeth being extracted, but I'm just not feeling my best and would probably look really annoyed in the photo.
Because of my photo for week 26, I decided to buy the mentioned Safestix for Storm. The company joined with Kong which makes the Safestix more widely available... I had to order online before but I could go to my local pet store to buy it now. Storm loves it. He adores it. It's the hugest success.
The stick looks a bit... uhm... weird. But it's one of the best toys! It's completely safe. It can bend all the way, it floats on water, and Storm chewed on it for about an hour and I can't see any marks on the toy.
The Vivitar 80-200mm f4.5 is a really nice lens, but since we were in between the trees I had to use a high ISO. I have the impression you see the grain a lot more with this lens, but it could just be me. I also had blue rims around white objects (Storm, mainly) which really annoyed me. I wasn't at all happy with what I shot this week. With some editing I tweaked it to my liking, but stil not really happy with it.
I mostly have the feeling I just have to get to know the lens better and need to put a little more attention to my lighting settings, so I'll work on that, but I was a bit bummed about this result as you might imagine.
Storm was playing here with another Border Collie. I took some pictures from him as well and some of them might show up on my photostream. They played really nicely and Storm had a great run in the park in this shoot!
