    This skirt and cape come from the Tzotzil Maya community of Zinacantan in Chiapas, Mexico. They were included in an exhibit of clothing from Zinacantan at the Museo de Culturas Populares in Coyoacan, Mexico City

      Thanks Melinda and Sulamay. This was a small exhibit, but the pieces were very lovely. When I first went to Zina in 1993 everyone wore pink. When I returned in 2003, they were dressed in black. Now they are back in pink again --- and I even saw some yellow. Of course the clothing is much fancier today than it was in the 90's. I'll be posting more photos from this show.
