Castle gas station

Route 66 Magazine just ran a story on the restoration of this place. It is supposed to be remodeled into a chicken restaurant, but so far it looks unchanged.

It began life as a gas station, and was locally known as the "castle gas station." It sold gas for many decades until the bypass and eventual decommissioning of Route 66, when it served as a car wash for a time.
