      Great shot. I love old weathered doors. They have their own character, a result of years of experience, use, and abuse. They seem to be bursting with stories to tell if only they could speak.

      Not many times does one see an actual pre-1910s door like this. If one was buying one of these from a mail order catalogue, these would be classified under something like "Fancy inset doors" or something along those lines.

      Great picture - I'm loving all the peeling paint around the door and the door itself. Was the rest of the house just as nice?

      The house is in sad shape and may be demolished soon. Electrical and gas services have been disconnected.

      DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS DOOR? I have a similar one.....from a late 1800's farm house.....I would love it if anyone can give me some history....design period...etc....
