Walk of Fame -

On Monday, November 22, Guy Laliberté, Founder of Cirque du Soleil, became the recipient of the 2,424th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the Kodak Theatre, where our show IRIS opens in 2011. He has been honoured by Leron Gubler, the president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and a few Cirque artists presented a short performance to mark the event. His star bears the symbol of the dual masks of ancient theatre (comedy and tragedy), marking his contribution to live theatre and performance. Only two percent of stars belong to this category, as the majority of them are awarded for recipients’ contribution to the world of film
