Experimental plot under conservation agriculture, Ningxia, China

An experimental plot used for growing wheat under conservation agriculture at the Ningxia Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences (NAAFS) experiment station, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China. CIMMYT is developing a new collaboration with NAAFS as part of the center's growing relationship with China, and CIMMYT's director general Thomas Lumpkin visited Ningxia in February 2011. Meetings concentrated on posting an internationally-recruited agronomist in the province, to aid in initiating a second Green Revolution focusing on conservation agriculture to reduce erosion and increase production.
