Last Wednesday I got baby Lola spayed. Which is actually a pretty intense surgery for a little bunny.
It's not an easy decision to make. After all you're sending a healthy rabbit into surgery. But did you know that up to 85% of female rabbits develop uterine cancer by the age of four if they have not been spayed? That is a serious number and a very good reason to spay your bunny.
I got to pick up Lola about three hours later because she was already awake by then. I fed her mostly veggies every two hours. Made sure she drank some water. Painkillers twice a day. I even got up in the middle of the night to feed her again. My sweet baby! So happy that she's been eating, drinking & pooping all on her own again! Yay!
Now look at that darling face!
