Victor has received a CWS income generation grant and has, over the years, adopted six children. Three are currently living with him. Victor has two hectares of land on which he grows maize, sunflowers (for oil), wheat, grapes and some vegetables.
With CWS support he rebuilt a chicken coop and started to raise chickens from scratch. Red chickens for meat and white for eggs. The Ave Children emergency center buys meat from Victor for the children. Victor recently sold many chickens and just bought more. Private people buy meat for weddings, etc. Boarding school buys. People say they can tell the difference in the quality of Victor’s chickens. He buys them for 15 lei each ($1.25). Has about 70 hens.
