This public golf course was built in 1929 and later donated to the state by Walter McBryde. It was only the second course to be built on Kuaui. Today is one of the finest, and certainly the least expensvie course in the state.

Duncan McBryde developed this land after leasing it from King Kamehameha III in 1860. His son, Walter, eventually purchased the 178-acre estate. He loved the area so much that he was buried near the 8th hole of the golf course. The park features a small Japanese Garden, legend stones and beautiful panoramic views.

The town is between Mile Marker #12 and #11 off Hwy 50. The park and golf course is just after the only traffic light in town.
