Sterling Heights Assembly Plant

More than 1,100 robots have been installed in the all-new, state-of-the-art body shop at Chrysler Group’s Sterling Heights (Mich.) Assembly Plant (SHAP) to build the 2015 Chrysler 200. Slated for closure in 2010, SHAP has been completely transformed after receiving a nearly $1 billion investment to build an all-new paint shop and body shop, and retool the assembly line. SHAP is now one of Chrysler Group’s largest and most technologically advanced manufacturing facilities
