Stranger Portrait No. 45

As I walked around the city, I decided to give our local christmas fair a visit. There is a special stall there, where they sell a beverage called "Glühbier". Usually you drink "Glühwein" in germany in christmas time, which is basically wine with some special spices and served warm. So Glühbier would be something like hot beer, which I hadn't yet. On this mentioned stall, there was this young lady serving customers, and I thought, it might be a good idea to ask her, if I could take a photo of her inside of her stall. I waited until the customers left and told her about my project. She agreed, and I took this shot in front of the background filled with lighted candles.

Afterwards I asked her, what this "Glühbier" tastet like, since I was curious, because beer has to be cold and you can't even drink lukewarm beer. She told me, it was her first day and she didn't know yet, so I couldn't solve that mystery. I will probally give it a try one day, but I was there by car and didn't want to drink any alcohol.

Great portrait, love the candle bokeh. Glühwein sounds very much like what is called mulled wine in the UK, not my favourite taste but it's very popular!

    Awesome as always, Chris.

Das Portrait ist super, aber das Format total unpassend.

Die Frage ist warum machst du es?
Es sieht in 10x15 oder Square Format sicherlich besser aus!

Great detail in those eyes and I like the bokeh in the background. Well done!

Chris...I think this is my favorite of your stranger portraits (so far). The warmth of light on her skin, the warm background, and the red scarf add to the genuine smile. And by the way; I think the new format is great. Keep it up!
