War of 1812 Re-enactment, Havre de Grace, Maryland, May 4, 2013

A couple of Aisquith's Riflemen awaiting deployment. The bloke on the right asked me later if General Ross's body in Halifax, Nova Scotia had been investigated to find out if he might have been shot by a rifle ball or a musket ball -- the musket ball is larger and would show no evidence of rifling in the lead. I told him that as far as I know no such investigation has so far been done, and that leading Canadian War of 1812 Donald E. Graves has said that he would oppose an attempt to open the tomb to study Ross's remains.
