Fireworks Friday I - It All Starts With a Bang! (Explored)
Sorry I have missed posts the past two days. I've been spending as much time with friends before they had back to college to continue pursuing their future careers. When setting up for Illuminations, I felt like the dumbest photographer, I had packed an ND 1.8 for the trip specifically for Illuminations and what happens? I leave it back at the room, realizing what I did just minutes before the show starts. A couple strange things did occur though that I have never witnessed before.
One, the fountain barge that is located closest to me and on the left side of the photo was malfunctioning prior to show start and even into the beginning of the show and a boat was sent out right before the start of the show to assess and fix the problem. Strange happening number two, the show did not go off as scheduled at 9:00pm. The show started approximately 10 minutes late. Strange happening number three, I positioned myself right in front of a planter where a Disney Video-grapher, if that's even a word, recorded the entirety of the show. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to ask any questions and the wind did not work out well for either of us that night, in my opinion.
The wind that night was heading out of due South, straight into our faces which led to quite a bright finale as you will see in later posts. The smokescreen even managed to barricade the laser from the American Adventure from hitting SSE during post show, which I will post photos of later on. Boy, was that performance of Illuminations different!
Thanks for lookin' and have a magical day!
