Stranger #2 - Raj

Today, I was at my favourite restaurant where I got a chance to see the chef. His name is Raj and he is originally from India. I saw him once before and found him immediately sympathetic.

This time, I had my camera with me and asked him right after he came out of the kitchen. At first, he was uncertain about the whole thing, but was interested in the project. He asked what it is exactly about and I explained it to him. After a bit of persuading and promising that I wouldn't do anything bad with his pictures, he agreed to have a couple of shots taken. He didn't really want to look right into the camera, but still did some posing for me as you can see. I showed it to him afterwards and he liked it.

We had quite a long conversation about the project, where I live and what I do (I study Aeronautical Engineering), which he found really interesting and talked about the prices of some cheap small airplanes :)

I think he was really happy after taking the pictures. He asked a lot and was very interested in everything. At the end, he wondered when he would see me again, since the world was small and he recently met a friend again after not seeing him for 13 years and still recognized him.

As I go there regularly, it won't take 13 years, I promise!

I thanked him for everything and then shook his hand.

Thank you, Raj, I'll definitely see you again :)

I know that the picture isn't really as perfect as it could be, but the light was quite dimmed. If you have suggestions how to improve this for other situations, please feel free to mention it :) Thanks.
