Wilmington Hospital Topping Out

    Newer Older

Hundreds of employees from Christiana Care and SKANSKA signed the last steel structural beam before it was lifted by a crane from the parking garage to the peak of the 10-story patient tower during the Wilmington Hospital Topping Out ceremony. The event was attended by several of Christiana Care’s leaders, including Robert Laskowski, M.D., CEO and president, Gary Ferguson, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Janice Nevin, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, and Edmondo Robinson, M.D., Physician-in-Chief at Wilmington Hospital.

During the Topping Out ceremony, Major Jeff Matthew in the U.S. Air Force – also a Senior Project Engineer with SKANSKA – presented a flag to Dr. Laskowski that he had flown on his KC-10A tanker aircraft over Afghanistan, in honor of the Wilmington Hospital expansion project team. The flag was carried by the crew, who also signed a certificate of authenticity.
