    Like a beacon of light, the Empire State brightens the New York City sky the night Hurricane Sandy turned off the lights in lower Manhattan. It was like a seen out of the apocalypse, completely black. No lights anywhere, sirens heard nonstop and police cars zipping by you.

      Awesome shot...how come these lights are on and nothing else is?? It looks like they are on over drive...is it because of the clouds and rain? Really amazing and sad, so sorry for all the damage and loss you guys are experiencing there, stay safe!!!
