'Mile High Ice Cream', United States, Colorado, Denver, Highland Neighborhood, Little Man Ice Cream Stand
Below is an excerpt from my travel blog. Cheers.
Denver's a great city. It has a young, progressive feel to it. The downtown is big, but not overwhelming. With a great view of the Rocky Mountains in the background, it's no wonder that a lot of my college and high school friends (and even my sister) have moved out to this great city.
Denver's location always amazes me. When you drive in from the east, you see nothing but endless fields for as far as the eye can see. Then like a tsunami disrupted a tranquil, endless sea, the majestic mountains appear off in the distance and grows ever larger as you approach its range. Because of the city's location just off the mountains, Denver experiences some wild thunder storms in the summertime. The mountains seem to precipitate the clouds buildup until they can hold no more moisture and pours it out, sometimes rather violently. I love a good storm.
