Below is an excerpt from my travel blog. Cheers.

Google has a new application out called Google Goggles. It's essentially a new way of searching for items on the web. I don't believe it will revolutionize the internet as we know it, but it does have some nifty gadgets that might come in handy. What it does is allow you to take a photo on your camera phone and Google will analyze it and come up with results. For instance, if you want to know the history about the Eiffel tower, you simply take a photo of it and Google Goggles will recognize it and search the internet. Ultimately, it will find you information about it without having to type it in. Kind of silly, right? It does, however, come in handy if you're traveling in a location where you don't speak the native language. You might come across a sign in French that explains the train schedule. Taking a photo with Google Goggles will analyze the French writing and translate it for you on the spot. I could have used that a couple times on my trip. Above is a night scene in Cairo's Khan el Khalili Bazaar. I was astonished to find such a well kept and well lit area in the middle of Cairo perfect for HDR photos.
