Yukon River Walk_IMG_0148

This tree has been hanging onto the bank of the Yukon River next to a popular hiking trail for as long as I can remember. While other trees fall, this one won't. I love the roots which really define it's relationship with the earth.

This photo taken with a Canon 7D and 15-85mm lens. Processed from RAW with ACDSee Pro 5.

      Great shot.
Some creatures are just doggedly determined to hang in there, no matter what.

the roots kinda creep me out in a medusa kinda way! Only the strong survive up here though! Great perspective how Mother Nature reclaims and wins sometimes Chris.
