Worthy of a Return
I spent 3 or 4 hours up on the hills near Edlingham doing a recce and basically doing what you so often do as a photographer, just waiting for the light! As it happened the light really never materialised in the fashion that I had hoped for (weather forecast wrong this time) so I will return some time soon to capture the heather that is higher up the hill before it turns!
I am amazed this pano came together at all: I used a long lens, had no pano head (the long lens doesn't fit anyway), it was very windy and it was shot so rapidly through 17 portrait frames to capture the brief moment when the sun poked through! Any way I know that this is not perfect and not that happy with two of the frames that i had the grad slightly wrong on but thought it worthy of posting and also "Worthy of a Return"!
Using the long lens for pano's is something I've done before and I must say it adds so much detail to the shot so will do some more when I get the chance!
