Hermit crab's property chain market
God must love hermit crabs, to give them such beautiful homes. As hermit crabs grow in size, they have to find a larger shell for protection. When a large shell becomes available, the hermit crabs form a queue, from the largest to the smallest. The largest crab move into the new shell, the second largest moves into his and so on....
However, just like the human world, nothing is perfect. If the hermit crabs matches in size, they fight or kill the competitor to gain the shell they favour.....Wiki.
We love shells, a lot. We have a collection in our possession for more than 10 years now. However, since we started diving, we've stopped buying only because we know they would have been picked up from the bottom of the sea with a hermit crab still living in it.
This was taken yesterday when the glorious morning sun cast these beautiful light from my window treatment. To try and attain the look of beach sand...used my fave dual tone texture from skeletalmess and blended lenabem anna's texture in burn and soft light. Duplicate and overlay my original photo to increase the contrast of my Murex shell.
I'm lagging behind some photostreams, will try and catch up today. My internet's a bit dodgy at the moment.
