cocoa & caramel latte = tasty times

I miss proper coffee.... The 'talians only got tiny tiny cups with something (albeit delicious) barely liquid.

But I thought Italians were the masters of coffee?? It sounds nicer than anything the West could produce. I wouldn't know, I don't drink it. But as long as Italy keeps producing 'cioccolata densa', I'm happy! yum yum yum

Yep, they are known to be the best, yes. But the only thing that they really master is Espresso and such. No brewed coffee, just warm espresso. It's not even hot. Delicious yes, but I grow tired of it.

sounds like a niche market though. you should set up a coffee house, and then you can drink nice coffee all day long while getting paid to make it.
  • Robin 4y

    Hah! A niche market indeed...
But I tell you, there are no Starbucks, Nero or Costa Coffee here. At all. Not even in the airports. Home in Sweden we've at least got copies of them, latterias, but here: alas...

Weren't you into modernist(-ish) architecture? I have a vague memory of that.

Although I can understand your frustration, I think its fantastic these chain cafes haven't yet invaded. They'll probably wipe out every other coffee place in the process; enjoy it while it lasts!

And yes, good memory! Are you going to tell me there is a fantastic modernist cafe somewhere? That would be nice.

    Well, yeah, you're right.

Yep, in Rome! Fascist modernism, I tell thee, that art teh shiet. The café in the Roma Termini train station is a must.
