Noisy crowded scenes, ancient buildings still show that the spectacular. Excellent capture! Have a nice weekend!

I like the V shape that leads tothe minster. Having said that I feel that the main subject is more the strett and the people in it. The B+W format works well and I agree that it would be better if the cable was removed. You will have to work on your photoshop skills.

It was well worthwhile resurrecting this from your "worthless" shots.

I will have to buy Photoshop in the first place ;-).

This is a nice enough photo and it's good you resurrected it from the reject pile, but at the same time I think it's got too much going on to be a great shot. The people, the buildings at the side of the street, the cathedral towers and even the clouds all compete for my attention. Having said that, it was a very busy scene, and your photo does reflect that, so it's a good record shot of this place you have visited.
One of my favourite things about this photo is actually the two people in the foreground and the connection between them, with the hand placed on the shoulder. The people are quite underexposed so I would lift the exposure in that area. But then they will compete even more with all the stuff going on in the background - really the photo would have had to be taken differently for that to work.

The buildings are nice, sharp, and detailed. I would like to see the same shot taken on a day with one person walking down the middle of the road.

If you had had an even wider angle lens, it would have been nice to center the shot looking straight forward, and thus include a full shot of the people, and not just from the waist up. Since I find the people the most interesting part of this scene, and they consume only the bottom 1/5 of the shot, it seems like I keep wanting to see more of them, but it's not there.

Very busy photo. My eyes keeps wandering constantly between the towers and the people on the street, not really sure where to stop and take a closer look. It would be interesting if you had someone in the crowd that really stood out from everyone else. Maybe a less busy day with not so many people?

And yes, the cable is a distraction unfortunately. We're not liars (a judgement call) but we can always move around and try other locations. Of course that could be hard or impossible if you don't live nearby.

Black/white looks great here and fits this picture very well. Good conversion from colour. Well done!

This has great tones in the lights and darks of the black and white. I really love the towers in the background and in general the composition of the shot. Yes, the tremendous amount of people do create a bit of an issue in it all. I wish that one person in the mix would take center stage and create a focal point for the shot. There is so much to like about this photo with great leading lines and excellent symmetry. It is only lacking a place to rest our eyes to be an unbelievable success.

Dort war ich auch schon einmal. York hat mir sehr gefallen.
Das Gedränge in den engen Gassen war nicht ganz so dicht, wie auf deinem Foto.
