    Lincoln Logs set, c. 1940

    John Lloyd Wright, the inventer of Lincoln Logs, was the son of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. He supposedly conceived the idea for the toy in 1917, upon witnessing the construction techniques used in building his father’s Imperial Hotel in Japan.
