Since February 2010, funded by USAID, with additional funding from corporate partners and the public, CHF International has built over 4,600 transitional shelters for Haitian families in Port au Prince, Petit Goave, Leogane and other earthquake affected areas.

CHF's shelters are either made of timber or light gauge steel and are designed to be earthquake and hurricane proof. But it takes the Haitians themselves to turn their shelters into homes. CHF's role is as a catalyst for the communities themselves to rebuild their lives and their country.

Thanks to all the families who agreed to have their photographs taken and show us their new homes.
