The National Trust in Cheshire
The National Trust was founded in 1895, to look after places of historic interest or natural beauty permanently for the nation's benefit. Cheshire is no exception, with country houses, industrial heritage, gardens, estates, deer parks, and countryside all under the care of the charity. This album gathers together some of our favourite images from Cheshire Archives and Local Studies, charting the history of some of these wonderful places, and showing the link between Cheshire and the National Trust dating back to the early 20th century.
