Aston Hall

A late 17th Century house built by Sir Willoughby Aston with a park landscaped by Humphrey Repton. Situated on high ground by the River Weaver, it had extensive views over to the River Mersey and Lancashire shores. A heronry still existed in Ormerod's time. The house was demolished in 1938.
