Governor Plum juicy

Governor Plum or Jamaica Plum.

 

While it is best for one's stomach to eat these when ripe, the truth is I have eaten a lot of them half ripe (flesh somehwat yellow, firm and NOT juicy), green (green sour firm fibrous flesh) and even...compeltely green where the seed isn't even formed yet.

 

Salt and pepper makes many things palatable as a child in Trinidad.
