great thing about Divali in the village - people drop off goodies!!! Well, we do the same for Eid, which this year is just a few days later, but still it's nice to be home and have people drop by just after nightfall to give you their little parcels so you can always be part of the experience.
And because of this, you can have on one night, different types of the same thing. Here are two saheenas - the one in the foreground is softer and lighter, made with more flour. while the one in the background is made mostly from ground yellow split peas and not just flour, or the powdered split peas. Saheenas like these are also called Bhagias and they must have chipped up bhagi/spinach in them.
