Comet C_2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS)
Had a great time under the stars with friends the other night! I didn't have my usual night photography setup, so I used the camera I had with me. My Hasselblad X2D may be my new favorite astro camera. Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS)
The red light directly below and to the left of the comet is not a car’s tail lights but rather the light emitting from the tunnel lights at Tunnel View. While I could have removed it, I chose to keep it because it plays a key role in the story. The climbers’ headlamps on the cliff, often called the “El Cap Constellations,” are another essential element. However, I did crop the bottom of the photo to eliminate the car headlights passing through the valley.
This is a single exposure.
