Nebuta Float - ねぶた
A paper float from the Nebuta festival: the festival with the highest turnout in all of Japan. The floats are huge, filling the entire width of the street, and they are rigged with generators to provide light from within.
People line the streets to watch, and those taking part dance along the streets shouting "Rase ra, rase ra, RASE RASE RASE RA!" It's great, and rather a sweaty experience.
