Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3

    Construction of Terminal 3 started on March 28, 2004 and was opened on February 29, 2008, becoming fully operational on March 26, 2008. Far grander in size and scale than the existing terminals, it is the largest airport terminal building complex built in a single phase with 986,000 sq. meters in total floor area. It features a main passenger terminal (Terminal 3C), two satellite concourses (Terminal 3D and Terminal 3E) and five floors above ground and two underground. (Wikipedia)

      Cool shot Chris. So the verdict: Beijing T3 or Changi T3? From what I see, and without any biased judgment, Changi T3 looks better...

      I agree Changi T3 has a better roof but the sheer size of Beijing T3 is impressive.

      Yes, it's a great design work. Those red tubes are a nice detail, but maybe what I like more is the geometrical play on the roof.

      question for you: were you able to shoot freely in the airport, or did you request permission first? i'll have a few hours to shoot at the airport soon and i'm trying to get a feel for the place. thanks and great work!
