I captured this shot about a week ago whlie visiting Canyonlands National Park in Southeastern Utah. Musselman Arch is a fantastic scenic destination! Unlike most arches, this one is flat, extending about 120 feet straight across the valley below, with non-geologist types like me left wondering how it remains in place. This site is accessible by 4WD road, down Shafer's Road and the switchbacks, then White Rim Trail --- definitely worth a visit! Although I saw a couple 2WD vehicles on the trail, it is not recommended for non-4WDers.
This is a five-shot, tripod-mounted HDR image. Processed in Photomatix Pro, Lightroom 3, and Photoshop CS5. Assistance to capture the full scene was with the Canon EF 8-15 Fisheye. Great lens!
