Icebergs on the beach, Jokulsarlon, Iceland
The colours haven't been altered in this at all, and it's not a black and white shot. This is how the place looks! Black sand coupled with an approaching storm. These icebergs are created by chunks falling off the glacier face and drifiting out through a channel to the sea. They made amazing subjects, and are much bigger than any photo makes them look. Each one was around 1m across and some on the beach were much bigger. The trick was to get a shot of them without the waves making them float around in the middle of the exposure. This beach was incredible, and somewhere I can't wait to go back to.
