Speakers - 2018 Celebration of International Friendship
Photos of the speakers taken during the program Oct. 4, 2018, at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts at the fifth annual "Celebration of International Friendship." – This event was hosted by the CGSC Foundation in partnership with the Greater Kansas City Chapter of People to People and Operation International from the Leavenworth/Lansing (KS) Area Chamber of Commerce in honor of the 2018-2019 class of international military officers studying at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. 110 officers from 87 countries are in the current class. Speakers included the host, CGSC Foundation President/CEO Col. (Ret.) Doug Tystad; Chief Warrant Officer 4 (Ret.) Randy Pace, president of the Kansas City Chapter of People to People; and Maj. Gen. Douglas C. Crissman, director of the Mission Command Center of Excellence for the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center/Fort Leavenworth. Jim Fain, director of the International Military Student Division of CGSC, introduced the international officers. The Kansas City Chorale, led by director Charles Bruffy, provided the musical performance for the evening.
