The Young Philanthropists
The Communities of Giving Legacy Initiative (CGLI) recently launched its new "leadership academy," The Young Philanthropists. The program launch included an exclusive tour with a cohort of Buffalo Public School students of local computer device manufacturer, BAK USA.

The Young Philanthropists is a three-week program designed to spark students' curiosity about grantmaking and community impact while inspiring their passion and generosity.

Throughout The Young Philanthropists program, students will meet for six sessions to learn more about the critical components of philanthropy, resulting in the students awarding a $3,000 grant to two organizations or initiatives in the community.

Through this unique partnership with BAK, students also learned about corporate philanthropy, and each received a BAK tablet preloaded with applications that build awareness of important social issues and allow students to give through simple actions!
