United Jewish Appeal-Federation of New York collection
United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York has been a central force for communal planning and philanthropy in the New York Jewish community since 1917.

The set will highlight some of the photographs and archival material discovered as part of a 4-year project to process the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of New York collection at the American Jewish Historical Society, which will be completed in 2015.

Once processed, the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York collection will represent the single largest archival collection on the philanthropic organization and its historic impact on the health and human services, vulnerable populations, education, and disaster relief in metropolitan New York and in Israel.
