This is the latest painting I've done. It is mixed media- watercolor, pen & ink, and acrylic. I'm hoping it does well at the art show.

I'm hoping I GET to the art show! I think I'm getting a flu bug. Hopefully, whatever it is will blow over by Friday....

Where is the Art show? I'm assuming it's accessible from Orlando.

  14. Chris C. Crowley 64 months ago | reply

Yes, it is! Take I-4 east. Continue on Beville Rd. (I-4 becomes 400 which is Beville) until you get to US-1, which is called Ridgewood Ave. It is a couple of miles from the I-95 overpass. Turn left on Ridgewood and continue north until you come to Magnolia Ave. Our group shows at 212 S. Beach Street, which is, I believe, just north of Magnolia. Beach Street is the downtown area of Daytona, which runs parallel to the river. There will be many artists this time, I heard. Many of them will be outdoors, but I will be in the building because of having watercolors which are glassed over, so there is no damage from rain or wind. There will be a parade that night, so you will want to come early to get a place to park that isn't too far away! They will be closing Beach Street to thru traffic. The Art Consorteum of Volusia County, which is my group, will be showing between 4-5 pm on until at least 9 pm. Hope you can come! I'll be there if I can lick this bug!
