"Lernen" - LMU, München, Germany
In English, we say "I need to study for my exam." In German, the verb "study" cannot be used in this way. Instead they say "Ich muss für meine Prüfung lernen." "Lernen" literally translates as "to learn". So they say "I need to learn for my exam."
No matter how you say it, I think this photo, and especially his expression, captures a common college experience.
