A field researcher from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG) conducts a household interview for a survey that seeks to better understand antimicrobial resistance (AMR) – a threat throughout the region that can reduce the effectiveness of available drugs to treat illnesses. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention partners with Washington State University and UVG to strengthen epidemiological surveillance for AMR in Guatemala.
